Biografía

Diane Doniol-Valcroze is the daughter of Jacques Doniol-Valcroze, founder of the prestigious French Film journal Cahiers du Cinema, which became the primary sounding board for numerous auteurs such as Godard, Chabrol and Truffaut.

Diane was born in Paris, France and received her writing B.A. at the Sorbonne University and her M.F.A. at the NYU Graduate Film School where she wrote, directed and produced several shorts, including the award-winning Fissure and later directed her first feature, Kill By Inches, distributed by Winstar/Sundance Channel. She also worked for "The Lauren Hutton Show" in NYC.

She has written and cowritten several screenplays in France and recently co-wrote the horror film Penny Dreadful starring Mimi Rogers, which was theatrically released by After Dark Films.
