Biografía

Benjamin Oroza was born in 1959 in Finland. He grew up in a multicultural home in Bolivia, West Germany and the United States. In 1969 his parents got involved with a few survivors of the Bolivian guerrilla movement. After spending one year in prison, they were exiled from Bolivia to Finland. After finishing his film studies, Benjamin has directed several documentaries and radio features for the Finnish Broadcasting company. Benjamin has also directed a few music videos and dozens of factual, educational, industrial programs for various institutions. Benjamin often composes music for his films.

Since 2008 Benjamin has directed the Storytent cross media project, which includes a web platform, a popular prime time short documentary TV-series (67 episodes) and a radio feature series (8 episodes). Since 2012 he has held workshops and collected stories in South Africa, Congo DR and Kenya.
