Biografía
Sandra Nettelbeck was born in Hamburg and graduated from San Francisco State University with the short film A Certain Grace (1994). She wrote and directed Mammamia (1998), which won Best Screenplay and Best Film at the Filmfestival Max-Ophüls-Preis. In 2004, she signed her first children’s movie Sergeant Pepper before directing Helen, her first English-language production in 2009. After Mostly Martha (2001) and Mr. Morgan’s Last Love (2013), Was uns nicht umbringt was her third appearance on the Piazza Grande.
