Frans Huhta Karlsson, born 1982 in Sweden, is based in Göteborg. Since 2001 Frans has made documentaries aired by, among others, SVT as well as at film festivals in Sweden and Europe. He studied film at STDH in Stockholm and is now studying the master's program at Valand Academy Film. Alongside his filmmaking, for the last four years he has freelanced as a photographer and editor for SVT's investigative news program Uppdrag Granskning. Frans' feature film debut, with the working title The Language of Silence (Tystnadens Språk), won the 2013 Tempo Pitch Award. The film is being clipped and produced by Anna Weitz at Mantaray Film.
