Shane Meadows

Shane Meadows (b. 1972, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire) is one of the most distinctive British directors working today. His films frequently address current issues relevant to his native country. Four of them have been screened at KVIFF, the first being Twentyfourseven (1997) with Bob Hoskins in the main role; the film won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Venice IFF.
