Biografía
Helen Mirren ha ganado reconocimiento por su actuación en el escenario, pantalla y televisión. Mirren ganó tanto el premio Oscar ® como el Globo de Oro® por su actuación en The Last Station, interpretando a Sofya Tolstoy. Por su interpretación de la reina Isabell II en The Queen (2006), ganó el premio a la Academia, un Globo de Oro, también el Premio del Sindicato de Actores (SAG) y el Premio de Cine de la academia Británica BAFTA como Mejor Actriz. Mirren también fue nombrada mejor actriz por casi todas las organizaciones actorales desde Los Angeles hasta Londres. En 2014 fue honrada con el BAFTA realzando su destacada carrera en el cine. Recientemente, Mirren fue vista en Trumbo, representando a Hedda Hopper junto con Bryan Cranston como el guionista Dalton Trumbo. Mirren comenzó su carrera con el personaje de Cleopatra en el Teatro National Youth. Luego se unió a la Compañía Royal Shakespeare, donde actuó en producciones como "Troilo y Césida" y "Macbeth". En 1972 se unió a la compañía de teatro del reconocido director Peter Brook y recorrió el mundo.
