Daniele Vicari

Daniele Vicari (b. 1967, Collegiovo, Italy) graduated in film history and criticism from Sapienza University in Rome. He writes for Cinema Nuovo and Cinema Sessanta magazines, and also teaches. In addition to his five features he has also shot several shorts and documentaries. He recorded his greatest success to date with Maximum Velocity (Velocità massima, 2002), which competed at Venice, took several awards, and was screened at the Karlovy Vary IFF. Diaz: Don’t Clean Up This Blood (2012) premiered in the Panorama section at the Berlinale, reaping copious praise from the audience.
