Tommy Haines is an American documentary filmmaker based in Iowa. He studied Communication at the University of Minnesota and Film at the University of Iowa. He mostly works together with directing partner Andrew Sherburne, with whom he also founded the production company Northland Films. Their debut film Pond Hockey, which Haines directed and Sherburne produced, came out in 2011. In 2017 the duo made the documentary Saving Brinton, which premiered at AFI Docs.
