Nestor and Joley are in their early twenties. Living as housemates in Rotterdam, they each have their daily routines. While one abides by a rigid work pattern, the other’s approach is more haphazard; they may share a house – but they’re not sharing their lives. However, when the pulsating soundtrack culminates in a dance, Nestor and Joley let everything go. With SOLO, filmmaker Vincent Boy Kars continues on the path he set out on with his hybrid documentaries Drama Girl and Independent Boy: exploring and breaking boundaries.
