Great Grand Mother

Historiography has shed insufficient light on the role of women in the early stages of Canadian development. This documentary wishes to make this role clear and by means of interviews, disclosures, excerpts from diaries, letters and papers we can see what sort of pioneering work they in fact accomplished. These women were capable and hard working, and through their efforts they helped lay the foundations for the feminist movement. It was through their determination that votes for women were won.
