The only example of an Ondra-Lamač-Film production in which the resulting feature-length project was not undertaken by the actress Anny Ondra, nor by the director, screenwriter, or editor Karel Lamač, both of whom remained producers only. Anny was only involved in this side of things at other times, but Karel used to be the director every time, even on other non-authorial OLF films, such as Karl Valentin's shorts. Der Doppelgänger (The Double) was only the conclusion of the Wallace trilogy, which Lamač had begun with Frič in The Informer and The Ringer.
