Phone Call from Cairo

Cortometraje
Grecia, 2012, 5 min

Director:

Yiotis Vrantzas

Sinopsis(1)

A friend of the director calls from Cairo to describe the people’s revolutionary determination and their rejection of the existing government, but also their subjective understanding of the current geopolitical situation. Words are transformed into slogans that engage in a debate with images of the old order. Ideological standpoints slice into footage of the nighttime streets and the quiet everyday life a year before the Arab Spring. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
