Pessi ja Illusia

A black-and-white 1950s classic, Pessi and Illusia is one of the cornerstones of Finnish fantasy film. The film is based on Yrjö Kokko's story and uses ballet and the fairytale genre to portray Finnish nature. Pessi, a troll living in the woods, meets Illusia, a beautiful fairy who lands on Earth on top of the rainbow, and introduces her to the wonders of the forest.
