Les Nuits d'été

France, 1959. Michel is a respected solicitor, who loves his wife Hélèn. He also loves cross-dressing and regularly visits his weekend house in Vosges forest, where he meets with his friend from the Second World War, Jean-Marie. Here the two become Mylène and Flavia. They dress as housewives, go hunting in full make-up and dresses, and never discuss politics. The hidden traumas of the Second World War, and the current Franco-Algerian war seem to affect all characters in Mario Fanfani's moving, well-crafted drama.
