inglés Lamač's film based on the novel "Pitt und die Menschlichen Verhältnisse" by P. Runge was unfortunately not filmed in its entirety, but the existing fragment offers at least two-thirds of the expected complete length. From the point of view of Lamač's German filmography, it is great to encounter again the small details that are often found in practically all his films, the attractive prestidigitation is represented by the shadow play in the hotel bar, the comedy is underlined by the cute dog and of course there is the scene at the train station. It is truly heart-warming to see the eloquent acting legend Adele Sandrock, born in 1863, who represented the ideal for all young actresses not wanting to rest on their laurels. Hans Brausewetter is a special kind of young comedian. This future partner of Anna Ondra from the film Heaven, We Inherit a Castle who met both representatives of the famous Ondra-Lamač-Film in a roundabout way, although with each of them separately. The cutest of the young women was Jessie Vihrog as Lotte Menzig, a telephone operator from Berlin, at that time applying for a job in a mountain hotel. ()
