Antonionis L'eclisse as a room installation. The camera, mounted on a model railroad, passes through a dark landscape of screens. The images, showing Monica Vitti, all sprawling into the room and on the surfaces, undermining illusionist effects in this “cinema hall”. We catch a glimpse of a poster of Godards Adieu au langage. “Io vado, Riccardo”, says Vitti, then walks outside. Dedicated to Hans Hurch. (Viennale)
