An excellent relationship drama with a brilliant Reynolds. The wife's little prank starts a series of brutal misadventures, unexpected twists and revelations in such a natural way that it is almost hard to believe. Plans are useless, you can't prepare for anything and you have to doubt everything and prepare for what you never dreamed of.

The fights are fantastic, though not as playful as in Jackie's later works, but they are all the more brutal. The romantic lawyer line feels like a parody of a bodice ripper, and its connection to the cocaine factory case is very bizarre, it seems to have been written very hastily so that the guys could fight again.

The excellent The Rock, who enjoys the role immensely (I felt he was heavily inspired by Kody from Step by Step for the role of Bob Stone) pulls the whole film up. The tale of a high school star who has fizzled out and a bullied obese kid who has become a hunky ace picks up steam when national security becomes an issue. Hart is surprisingly bearable, the action is fine and the quirky humour worked on me unexpectedly often. “You look like a black Will Smith, or something!”

It’s good, but far from excellent. I was actually expecting a lot worse, which may have lowered the bar. Imperfect for sure, and the logic is also quite flawed... (where did O'Dowd's hand get the information about the gyroscope, for example, well?), but it is nice to look at. It’s visually stunning and the cast led by Brühl and Elizabeth Debicki is fine too. Actually, only Gugu is pretty bland and he’s the lead! The talked-about connection with Cloverfield was very strong, but fortunately not so much that it was distracting. The plot had a much higher potential, but it turned out to be like a Stargate Atlantis episode of Daedalus squared, with better effects and a few extra scares. Onah should work on the themes and leave the direction to someone who can do it better.

Cheap sci-fi in the style of adapt or die. CO2 and other greenhouse gases have flooded the planet and those who could have flown to a space station near Jupiter's moon Io, except for a few naifs and scientists who are researching whether the situation is permanent or whether bees and pigs can adapt. Then, out of nowhere, a strange, grim-faced man named Micah (Anthony Mackie) appears at the base of a young scientist (Margaret Qualley). Unfortunately, apart from a small storm, the arrival of a balloon and a few unpleasant truths, nothing much happens. The performances are alright, but no one can really excel in an average story. It’s OK to watch after a Sunday lunch. PS: Elon flew to space.

It's got pizzazz, it's fast paced and the visuals work for me. Empty Tokyo looks perfect and grown-up kids who just played games and didn't let their phones out of their hands are dying like on a treadmill. I like the investigative line about who they're playing against. The actors are great. A very well-made project. It borrows some things from Lost, besides the mystery, especially the introductions of some of the characters that show them in the old Tokyo and in a different light than we see them now.

Starship Troopers! A solid digital adventure, without fatalities or major surprises. The trailers that teased a fatal clash are rather a disservice. The Lang and Pym families are sucked into the quantum realm and have to fight a familiar arch-enemy. Douglas shits and wonders why a guy who looks like broccoli is hitting on his daughter. Pfeiffer confesses to quantum infidelity and Paul Rudd teaches his daughter the proper way to punch people, or whatever. The amazing world now, after Avatar: the Way of Water, boggles the mind with its lack of thought, lack of sophistication and the inconsistency of the visual effects – Disney probably should have timed it differently. I was annoyed by the breaking of the rules set in the first and second episodes regarding the quantum realm and augmentation, and MODOK is more annoying than scary. Still, quite an entertaining chapter about perhaps the only happy Avenger.

A broth of stress and emotions. Surprising revelation? Owning a restaurant is suicidal, and trying to turn a buffet into a fancy restaurant is tantamount to purgatory. Acting-wise, it’s amazing. The pace is frantic and there’s always something happening. Some liken it to Boiling Point, but Bear is a little more optimistic, though the falls are all the more painful. Really strong.

An inoffensive Valentine's romance. The passage with Brad Pitt is actually excellent. Daniel Radcliffe was also a surprise, playing the annoying bad guy with obvious gusto.

A completely different concept, period and overall message, only the main actors and the style of humour remained the same. And it’s not bad at all. Shitshoveler's daughter wants to study and go to the world, and the king's unlucky son doesn't want to kill people as often as his daddy does. The contemporary humor set in the dark ages sometimes works and sometimes it grates. The goat trial is probably the best of the bunch.
