Wholesome details and backstage information about one of the most interesting series recently. They could easily dwell a little bit longer over some of the technical passages, but probably they didn’t want to disturb the dynamics. Hopefully there will be more stuff on the Blue-Ray version. Ha. Haha. Haha.

Cause and effect. A bloody drama about revenge flips over into a bizarre comedy in the inimitable style of Anders Thomas Jensen. Mads Mikkelsen excels again in a role of a taciturn soldier coming back from the war to bury his wife and find the way of connecting with his daughter. The investigation of the train catastrophe which moves the movie towards the quest for revenge is in the hands of three strange IT divas. Nerds reeling off hilarious lines create a strange antithesis to the silent Mads, an aspect that the screenplay exploits rather unexpectedly. The excellent action scenes are among the best I have seen in this genre and the surprisingly pleasant ending makes sure that Riders of Justice is a classic Christmas movie.

A great introduction to the subject. This Netflix documentary concentrates on things that are attractive for the viewer, never going particularly deep. This said, in places it stutters and leaves the plot to flow, ignoring wider contexts. The introduction with Nobunaga, rising to become the Demon King was unequivocally the best part and then there are so many clans to make a six-season series about. The beautiful shots of Fuji and well-filmed historical reconstructions are superb. There could have been much less of the black and white talking heads.

A hammer hitting the nail on the head. A glimpse into a future that is very close to reality. I loved the language they chose for the old car and the final threat to Mr. Rags looks like fallen out of Con Air.

An average detective story that changes direction quite dramatically after the appearance/disappearance of Jared. The weird system fraudster he plays, whose face beams constantly, even face to face with a cop who is stressed out and short of sleep, is the main plus of the movie. I appreciate the idea approaching things from a different side, but it could easily be shorter and more work should be done on the introduction and character motivation. This way they sometimes look like idiots who do things without any good reason.

People are not just snippets of what they put on the internet. This is a disturbing twist, but subliminally it is a metaphor for the uselessness of men in today's emasculated society.

The first of Richie’s gangster joyrides and, in fact, the beginnings of a new subgenre. I’d give it full marks, but Richie’s younger disciples have since managed to fine-tune the details and step on the gas. An amazing final scene.

A black comedy about good intentions. Jensen thrives in absurd situations and unexpected storyline twists. An absolutely original story about two mates who do good deeds to help people, crowned with a metaphysical finale which nowadays would burst the controversy barometer. Olsen’s naturalistic action with a brutal final gunfight will please every fan of the genre. Great lines. "She tried to steal your TV."

A balanced, visually captivating spectacle with the powerful theme of family values. The unbelievable acting performances by Bethany and, mainly, Elizabeth Olsen does much to improve this first Marvel sitcom. The experimental nature of storytelling is entertaining and the bar is set very high.
