Courtroom sitcom. A serious topic, but one that is desperately sterile, slow, plodding, and devoid of drama. How this can be such a critically acclaimed hit in the US to the point that it’s supposed to be an instant classic is beyond me. I understand the portrayal of a legendary trial that is such a sensitive subject for the US, but from a cinematic standpoint, it's too much to fall asleep to after 30 minutes.

Another of those dark, slow detective story in the style of Se7en, or Mystic River, that is atmospheric, ingeniously put together and hard to read in its means of expression, going against the audience's expectations. A tense crime drama with fantastic performances by Jared Leto and the odd duo of Denzel Washington and Rami Malek. It's not a particularly good role for former, but he didn't disgrace himself. It's not for a second viewing, but the creative level is solid.

As an expansion to the Marvel Universe, it’s fine. I would call it an add-on that doesn't offend, it presents some new features and gadgets, but I wouldn't call it very exciting or, God forbid, a full-fledged movie, although it has its bright moments. The action is OK for a series, the visual effects are passable (except for a few minor things) and it has the drive and dynamism we've come to expect from Marvel. There is not much to say about the story, it does have a main plot, but the large number of characters and their confrontations in various situations are far more interesting. I’d be fine with a sequel, but it’s not necessary.

Instead of a dark fourth episode and the family-oriented fifth, we get an very much "by the book" political agitprop for black rights so blatant it's a little annoying at times, especially during the speech of the black (!) Captain America. The action was OK, the return of one of the bad guys who may have been a bit forgotten, and Sebastian Stan is such a charismatic guy, and while his character didn't get that much space in Avengers, is given just enough space here.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t keep the level. In the first few minutes maybe, but after that it looks like a 30 minute family reunion video. If the whole series ended here, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Definitely the best episode so far and dramaturgically a completely different film than we have seen so far – darker, more depressing and more ambiguous. From an ordinary platform game where they jump, fly and kick once in this city and then in another, we move up a notch to a full-fledged male drama about choices and consequences. I hope they can keep the level until the end.

Madripoor looks a bit like a dodgy rip-off of Blade Runner, Riga is of course Prague and the dummies just jump from place to place without much of a charge. Fortunately, Emily VanCamp kicks more ass in her cameo in a few square metres than Falcon did in two episodes. Brühl, understandably, is also fine.

Why Falcon and Winter Soldier feel like a couple of bored small-town detectives is hard to say, but the action on the road is solid and the new Captain America is a character with interesting potential. At first it looks like a parody, but the appearance is deceptive and it quickly gains in "strength". It will be interesting to see the future confrontation that looks inevitable in the hands of the writers.

A solid jaw-dropping opening action scene, but otherwise surprisingly tepid in its more subtle moments, lacking the chemistry and patina that the "big" films had.

A hybrid that has almost everything. That wouldn't be so unusual, but what is extremely extraordinary is how cleverly and sophisticatedly the filmmakers were able to combine the different aspects of the film together and what a whole they managed to make out of it. A bit of a guy drama full of weirdos, a bit of John Wick, occasionally a black comedy with typically Nordic, goofy humour and grunting actors.
