Jessica Jones - AKA Sole Survivor (2018) (episodio)
The third episode wasn’t bad, but I can’t give it five stars — it’s missing something compared to the first season. I think I know what it is: a clear main villain. In the previous season, Kilgrave drove much of the plot, but now we’re chasing after a mysterious organization, and there’s no real antagonist to contend with. On the bright side, I was pleased to see Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, even if it was just a brief appearance.
Jessica Jones - AKA Freak Accident (2018) (episodio)
There was some improvement compared to the previous episode, and the story felt more cohesive this time. However, the scenes with Jeri dragged on like a week before payday. So far, the second season is weaker; the creators still haven’t managed to capture the right atmosphere or tension.
Doc Martin - Sickness and Health (2013) (episodio)
So many obstacles popped up, not even Murphy's law could explain so many things going wrong. Morwenna was fantastic as always, despite her limited screen time, and Aunt Ruth unexpectedly stole the show.
Jessica Jones - AKA Start at the Beginning (2018) (episodio)
Considering it’s the start of the second season and a new story is just getting started, I tried to be patient. However, while the first season pilot really hooked me, this one left me feeling a bit disappointed. It was jumping around like a caffeine-fueled flea, introducing multiple potential storylines without diving into any of them. 4*-
Jessica Jones - Season 1 (2015) (temporada)
I like strong female heroines, and Jessica Jones's quirky attitude makes her even more likeable. Plus, even though I'm not an alcoholic, I do appreciate when someone drinks bourbon like water:-) I had a great time all the way through. I wasn't bored even for a second, it had a great atmosphere, escalating suspense, and well-managed action scenes. I liked the humor and the characters of Luke Cage and Claire Temple and their part in the story. I have no complaints whatsoever about the first season, so five stars it is.
Jessica Jones - AKA Smile (2015) (episodio)
The subplot with Luke being indisposed wouldn't have interested me much if it didn't bring Claire Temple into the mix. She clearly serves as the link between the various Defenders. The main storyline was fantastic, especially the scene that reminded me of the "Goodbye" music video by Die Happy. :-)
Jessica Jones - AKA Take a Bloody Number (2015) (episodio)
Luke Cage makes a comeback, and I have to say, I enjoy him more here than in his own series. The flashback to Luke meeting Kilgrave was entertaining, and the entire episode was a lot of fun, especially the demolition scene at the club. The creators really nailed it.
Jessica Jones - AKA I've Got the Blues (2015) (episodio)
The first half was a bit slow, but the second half more than made up for it. The plot was again complemented by flashbacks from Trish and Jessica's childhood, revealing some crucial details. And it seems the creators have really started to enjoy delivering explosive endings.
Jessica Jones - AKA 1,000 Cuts (2015) (episodio)
The creators focused heavily on action, and it paid off. While the atmosphere wasn't as rich, the exciting action scenes and solid tension made up for it. I have to commend the writers for the character of Jeri Hogarth — it's hard to find a more cold-blooded bitch.
Jessica Jones - AKA Sin Bin (2015) (episodio)
A mostly low-key episode, but it was still one of the best. The creators did a great job highlighting each character, revealing more of Kilgrave’s past, and delivering an action-packed finale. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish.
