Gotham - The Balloonman (2014) (episodio)
Unlike the previous episode, I really enjoyed the case with meteorological balloons this time, but watching Oswald's personality development was even better. I could certainly find reasons to subtract a star or two, but after seeing what Marvel and DC have been producing lately, I don't feel like it.
Gotham - Pilot (2014) (episodio)
The pilot episode of Gotham immediately hooked me, the creators managed to create a pleasantly dark atmosphere. I also really like the functioning mix of the present and the past, one moment I'm watching a gangster from the 20s-30s and then someone's mobile phone rings, it's perfect. I was also pleased with the casting of each character, I really enjoy Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney.
Wonder Woman (2017)
Marvel bummed me out yesterday, it was DC Comics’ turn today. Gal Gadot is great eye-candy. If she's a stellar actress, I failed to notice. The story was nonsensical and dysfunctional from the start. Despite all that, the creators still managed to turn it into an "awesome" multicultural quest to eradicate evil. Speaking of evil, David Thewlis was great as V. M. Varga but ridiculous as Ares and the whole film felt like a Xena upgrade. I wasn't entertained.
Mrazivá tajemství - Série 1 (2016) (temporada)
Season 1 was a good one. I enjoyed all the stories, only Episode 5 fell a bit short. Anyway, I love the idea of finding the “truth” in traditional fairy tales using modern science and forensic techniques. I hope the second season will be just as great.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Spider-Man: Homecoming only proved what I’d started to realize a while back - I’m losing interest in superhero movies and I’m getting more into superhero-themed series. The film felt like a teen comedy, the premise didn't work for me at all. I’m getting tired of the omnipresent Tony Stark, the suit of the title hero makes him almost another Iron Man. The latest Marvel production is slowly starting to blend into one huge grey mass for me.
