This touching and emotionally rich, rather intimate drama flows quite unruffled until the moment when the main character, convincingly portrayed by Joanna Scanlan, can no longer withstand the onslaught of emotions and reveals a very painful secret to her rival in love... I think the title After Love could not have been chosen better. It is rarely possible to succeed in capturing the essence of a movie in just two words as perfectly as they did here. (80%)

Slowly, without unnecessary words, peculiarly and at the same time suitably dramatically: it is possibly only Icelanders who can tell stories this way. Much of this is certainly due to the inhospitable environment in which they live. Ingvar Sigurðsson's precise portrayal of the central role, fully concentrating on expressing inner feelings and dilemmas closer, is breathtaking. (70%)

I don't really enjoy watching sports-themed movies anymore, because the stories they describe tend to have more or less the same plot. The Grizzlies, however, breaks out of the rut, breaks stereotypes and in many ways transcends the genre. A lot of this is also due to where the action takes place. The chilling natural environment of the Inuit territory in the Arctic region of Canada helped to create an emotionally powerful atmosphere, while the Inuits themselves contributed to the authenticity by appearing in a number of the acting roles. (80%)

At very least the first half of the movie has the right momentum, swing and very decent action scenes. At times there are some funny moments, but as time goes on, some jokes start to repeat themselves and the plot more or less stagnates. Still, it's probably the best attempt at directing from David Leitch that I've seen so far. I mustn't forget the soundtrack, which gives it all the right amount of oomph. The casting was also spot on, of which, apart from the traditionally great Brad Pitt, I was most impressed by Brian Tyree Henry, who clearly demonstrated here that he has significant comedic talent. (65%)

Maybe it could have been half an hour shorter, but it is still a very successful musical that will attract especially audiences who like catchy music full of hot Latin-American rhythms. There are plenty of energetic dance numbers packed with passion and sensuality. The plot is neither original nor surprising, but it evokes joy, life force and vigor, which fully corresponds with the subject matter. (70%)

Either I wasn't in the right mood or I'm too old to properly appreciate the qualities of this sequel to the now cult movie. It seems to me that, despite the best efforts of the creators, somehow the charm of the original Ghostbusters has been lost. Let’s face it, the main trio of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver is simply irreplaceable. (55%)

I'm not a fan of movies with cooking as a central theme, but this lightly comedic drama really impressed me and, even though I think that the most important things about it have already been written here, I still can't help but add something. In my opinion, Delicious offers selected dishes that will satisfy not only the body of casual travelers (among whom I count myself), but also their soul. And to add to things, it is also pleasing to the eye. (80%)

The relationship between the distracted Julie and the internally balanced Aksel reflects all possible problems and vices of the contemporary world, with which we are willingly rushing to meet our doom. I find it quite strange that during the free fall, happy moments flash by, moments that have the power to pull the viewer into joyful euphoria. And that's exactly what happened to me a couple of times while watching the movie. (85%)

This unusually thoughtful movie by acclaimed French writer and director Céline Sciamma tells a powerful story of a budding love between two women, set in a time bound by convention and prejudice. To embark on the very sensitive journey of creating one beautiful painting is almost a must for those who love paintings. But I must not forget the acting mastery of the main characters, and fans of Noémie Merlant and Adèle Haenel will definitely enjoy this film. (80%)

The 1994 adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel impressed me a little more than this movie directed by Greta Gerwig. Nevertheless, I cannot deny the movie's impressive portrayal of the atmosphere of a bygone era, its excellent cast and the acting performances. The costume design is also undoubtedly praiseworthy. But to be honest, I don't really understand the source of the general fascination with this romantic story, which I always found rather boring. (65%)
