Cesta z města (2000)
Likely a life performance by Tomáš Hanák in an unforgettable movie with a great soundtrack and an atmosphere that doesn't fade even after several viewings. Although I am a city dweller and not ashamed of it, I am pleasantly surprised to praise Vorl for really bringing out that longing for the village from me for a few tens of minutes.
Closer, cegados por el deseo (2004)
When a relationship is a personal danger and the thought of a more serious commitment suddenly becomes unpleasant. Nichols knows how to implant an unbearable bug of uncertainty and ignorance over loved ones and thus sounds the alarm about the meaning of their search. Sometimes you just don't want to know everything about the other person, and only a minute after midnight will you realize what was the key aspect of your emotions. The mystery of the other. And then it's too late to avoid all the cruelties because no matter what you say now, nothing will ever be the same. You will lose yourself and yet still be close. By touch - but without it. Emotional mess, but cinematic perfection.
Embriagado de amor (2002)
Drunk with confusion. Between a peculiar comedy and a strange attempt at it, there lies sometimes a too thin line. Anderson followed it for so long, until he took a few steps towards the other possibility. I was looking for the promised life romance, believable performances, and the feeling of finding myself. Instead, I got lost.

Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Once in a while, I watch Reloaded because it still has its power even after two decades, but it always lacks something and I can never describe exactly what it is. Maybe it's the magic of something new or a certain innocence that works in the first film even after multiple viewings. The biggest problem lies in the connection with the dark and overcomplicated Revolutions, which, at least as I perceive it, only shares a bond between the main duo and the action side. There are unfinished ideas, precise actions (often just to have some action present), clumsy dialogues, aging tricks, or overdramatic and now truly stupid insertion with the Merovingian. Surprisingly, even after all this time, I still insist on what I said about the film back in 2003. If the second and third parts were one whole, if unnecessary philosophy and excessive fighting with machines were omitted, or if the path to the source had ended as it should have, it could have been a cohesive, more optimistic, and overall better story. 70%
Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Drops continue to fall, the heroes remain the same, but that code has somehow changed for us. It is indeed green, but it does not fall smoothly. It stutters and instead of a quality storyline, it flows with unjustified monologues, unbelievable dialogues, and sadly dysfunctional action scenes. When I think back to the perfection of the first installment, the precisely defined characters, and the unforgettable two hours that can be watched endlessly without losing their magic, it feels unfair that the Wachowskis have fatally let me down and forever ruined one unforgettable story for me. Morpheus has become just a motivational figure, Niobe herself has no role, regardless of rescuing anyone, and only the tangible bond between Neo and Trinity gives me a feeling of some vitality. And even the perfect final battle does not repair that tainted impression for me. The program has performed an invalid operation and will be terminated.
