Fanfan el invencible (1952)

inglés France’s acting icon in his best and most famous role. Entertainment that still works today and that Delon successfully continued in The Black Tulip. Humour, action and a beautiful Gina Lollobrigida, what else can you ask for?

cartel

Phar Lap (1983)

inglés The true story of a warrior in a horse's body, the best racehorse in history. The horse races are brilliantly shot. A nice film for everyone, regardless of age.

cartel

Gallipoli (1981)

inglés The fate of two friends and athletes during World War I. A film with an anti-war, humanist message and a haunting, tragic ending that will always remain in my memory. Mel Gibson fans will enjoy this one too, this film opened his path to worldwide fame, as well as Peter Weir's.

Czterej pancerni i pies (1966) (serie)

inglés This brings back memories of my childhood. It was one of those things I grew up with together with my friends. We often played at it and I always was Gustik. I'm sure I'd look at it differently today, but back then I lived it. I can't avoid the nostalgia in this case

cartel

Le Grand Bazar (1973)

inglés The four madmen of Les Charlots are at the forefront of the struggle for the survival of a small shop that is facing stiff competition from a large supermarket. Entertaining and in many places relevant today. When I occasionally walk among the shelves of the nearby big supermarket, I sometimes remember the sabotage antics of Les Charlots. All you need is a toy catapult, a cake with whipped cream and the show can begin.

Cómo destruir al más famoso agente secreto del mundo (1973)

inglés Twice the best. The best parody of trash literature with an invincible agent and the best film with Belmondo. Plus the beautiful Jacqueline Bisset, so there's no argument. Smart and funny entertainment.

cartel

La muerte en directo (1980)

inglés Journalist Harvey Keitel has a camera built in his eye and secretly films a woman dying of cancer. Every once in a while, he has to put a certain substance in his eye for the camera so he doesn't go blind. Sure, it sounds a bit stupid, but the film is surprisingly pretty good. It’s quite dark, and I like that.

cartel

El nombre de la rosa (1986)

inglés Annaud does not present us, like most other filmmakers, with a slick medievalism, but with a dirty era, dirty and ugly people, his vision of the Middle Ages is flawless. Connery's scholarly demeanor exudes respect and wisdom, I'd go to hell and back with him. The book is supposedly much better, but those who haven't read it may not care, the film is excellent.

cartel

Los miserables (1958)

inglés The best adaptation of “Les Misérables” may be the one by Robert Hossein starring Lino Ventura, but the best Jean Valjean will forever remain the one who walks in the body of Jean Gabin. A film classic.

cartel

Astérix y la sorpresa del César (1985)

inglés It's a bit better, but in my opinion what I wrote about Asterix the Gaul still applies: Asterix is better to read than to watch. Some of my friends, also Asterix fans, have the same opinion, so I hope I'm not being too subjective. The books are brilliant, the animated versions are botched, and Goscinny and Uderzo have disowned them.
