El cuchillo en el agua (1962)

inglés Solo for two men, one woman and one sailboat. Roman Polanski proves that it only takes a little to make a great film, which was graced with an Oscar nomination.

Videodrome (1983)

inglés A dull-eyed Kurt Russell – about the same ghostly expression I had when I saw what Paul Anderson, creator of the great Event Horizon and the entertaining Mortal Kombat, had managed to produce.

Yo impongo mi ley a sangre y fuego (1979)

inglés Do you know what qualifications a good police commissioner should have for the job? He should have no problem driving his car into an apartment, burning down a restaurant or blowing up a house. That’s what Belmondo did. Our Interior Minister has something to think about.

Fuego en el cuerpo (1981)

inglés A very ingeniously constructed thriller. Kathleen Turner is every bit the equal of Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. She plays a bitch so cunning and heartless it's chilling. The film's conclusion is indeed "optimistic". As life itself :)

La lista de Schindler (1993)

inglés For this masterpiece, Spielberg has my boundless respect. And the fact that he literally force-fed it to Universal increases my respect for him. One of the greatest films of all time, a film that alarms, awes, shocks and moves...

Atrapado en el tiempo (1993)

inglés Smart, sensitive, funny, touching, all that in the comedy Groundhog Day. A sweet Andie MacDowell and a Bill Murray that is funny and will stir your sympathy. That time loop is not that bad, there are moments where I wouldn’t mind your place Bill…

Par-impar (1978)

inglés Odds and Evens is bollocks, but it has its charm and it doesn’t let me get bored. And Terence and Bud are so likeable.

Abyss (1989)

inglés When Cameron wants to do something, like shooting an entire film in a water tank, he just does it and the result is always perfect. Although this film wasn't nearly as big a hit as Terminator 2, I put it higher in James Cameron's filmography, and it’s further proof of his immense perfectionism – he just can't make a bad film. And since I've seen the director's cut, I have to say that the extended ending with a stunning (for its time) visual effects scene puts this film in a completely different light.

Training Day (Día de entrenamiento) (2001)

inglés After this year's Academy Awards, I railed against the academics for not giving the Oscar to Russell Crowe, but after watching Training Day, I have to give them credit because Denzel Washington really got me. And not only him, but also Ethan Hawke, who also deserved the golden baldie. The film itself also deserves praise, it features a lot of directorial ideas and has an interesting plot. PS: You must see the original version, the bad dubbing brings the final rating down...

Petit gran home (1970)

inglés One of the few westerns that shatters the conventional view of the conquest of the Wild West as a heroic period in American history (the slaughter of an Indian village by ruthless American soldiers, General Custer as a psychopathic despot, etc.), and it also has many funny situations. Dustin Hoffman as a shy young man, a drunkard, an Indian, a bearded drifter or a centenarian old man – he is extremely convincing in all these roles. I think its his best film role.
