Biografía

Seamus Tierney is a cinematographer whose love of the image began in photography working for the acclaimed Steven Klein and Annie Leibovitz. He parlayed that passion into feature films coming up under such renowned mentors as Harris Savides and Chris Doyle. He has shot all over the world including Australia, Hong Kong, Alaska, New Mexico, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles; in the urban jungle as well as mountain ranges, deserts and beaches creating worlds for the features he has worked on with an emphasis on the story and collaboration with the director. The work spans all genres including of age drama Adam which Fox Searchlight distributed starring Hugh Dancy and Rose Bryne, the psychological thriller from the writer of Disturbia Christopher Landon called Burning Palms, and the action thriller The Narrows starring Vincent D'Onofrio.

In addition to those actors already touched upon, a brief list of actors that Seamus has worked and built relationships with include Melissa Leo, Malin Ackerman, Zoe Saldana, Kate Mara, Justin Long, and Richard Jenkins. Seamus was the cinematographer on In a World directed Lake Bell, The Well directed by Tom Hammock, Jenny's Wedding directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue, Tumbledown directed by Sean Mewshaw, Criminal Activities directed by Jacki Earle Haley, and The Bullet directed by Felix Limardo.
