Virgil Widrich

Virgil Widrich (b. 1967, Salzburg) is an Austrian educator, screenwriter, producer, and director whose work covers a wide range of media. He completed the feature Spirit of Time (Vom Geist der Zeit) in 1985. His most successful short, Copy Shop (2001), played Karlovy Vary and was awarded at numerous festivals around the world; the film was nominated for an Academy Award.
