Biografía (1)
Born in 1879 in Denmark, a former medical student turned filmmaker, he achieved initial acclaim for his thrillers The Mysterious X (1913) and Blind Justice (1915). Following the international success of Häxan, he moved to the USA and directed several features there, mostly dramas and horror films. He died in 1959 in Copenhagen.
