Guillaume Nicloux

The career of Guillaume Nicloux has space for experimental (Les enfants volants / The Flying Children, 1991; La Vie crevée, 1992; The End, 2016), noir (Une affaire privée / A Private Affair, 2002; La clef / The Key, 2007), madcap comedy (Le poulpe / The Octopus, 1998; Holiday, 2010), politically committed (L’affaire Gordji, histoire d’une cohabitation / The Gordji Affair, 2012) and drama films (Faut pas rire du bonheur, 1994). With La religieuse (The Nun,  2013) he competed at Berlin, participating in its Panorama section with L'enlèvement de Michel Houellebecq (The Kidnapping of Michel Houellebecq, 2014). These were followed by Valley of Love (2015), which competed at Cannes, and Les confins du monde (To the Ends of the Earth, 2018). In Thalasso he is once again honoured with the presence in the cast of the famous French author Michel Houellebecq and with Gérard Depardieu, a regular in his films.
