Biografía

Gerardo Tort studied film at the Universidad Iberoamericana. He worked in the movie industry directing commercials. His feature film debut De la calle (2001) won 11 Ariel Awards, including Best First Work, Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, and the New Director’s Award given by the Zabaltegi Section of the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. He has directed several short films, which have been screened in various international film festivals.
