Biografía

Paz Fábrega (b. 1979, San José, Costa Rica) is a young, multi-award-winning director. She entered the world of cinema with a short movie made during her studies in London entitled Temporal (2005), which won Best Short Film at the Biarritz IFF. Her ten-minute picture Cuilos (2007) also drew notice, earning her four awards at Latin America's Ícaro festival. An important milestone in her career came with her debut feature Agua fría de mar (2010), which not only screened at more than forty festivals but also won Fábrega one of the main awards at the Rotterdam IFF. The filmmaker currently lives in her hometown of San José where she heads up Temporal Films productions.
