Biografía

Josh Hetzler is a Brooklyn based creative producer. With his producing partners Julie Buck and Tim Blake Nelson, he is developing a slate of independent film and television projects. Josh produced Anna Martemucci's debut feature Hollidaysburg, from executive producers Chris Moore, Neal Dodson and Zachary Quinto. The making of Hollidaysburg is the subject of the critically lauded documentary television series The Chair on Starz. Josh's HBO animated film from directors Liz Swados, David Wachtenheim, and Robert Marianetti, with producer Roz Lichter, features the voices of Sigourney Weaver, Steve Buscemi, and Fred Armisen, and premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2014. His films have screened at Cannes, Sundance, Slamdance, SXSW, Tribeca, IFC, and hundreds of other festivals and theaters around the world. His 2011 film The Hunter and the Swan Discuss Their Meeting premiered at Sundance, was awarded the National Board of Review Prize at his alma mater the NYU Graduate Film Program, and is currently showing nationally on PBS. SEED, his 2010 collaboration with Sundance winning cinematographer Ben Richardson, took the top prize at Slamdance, and their collaboration was a yearlong multi-stage series of animations for which they created, from the ground-up, a custom stop-motion animation studio, fabrication workshop, and post-production facility, where they managed a team of over 40 animators and designers. Josh also produces social media animation with director Andrew Jive, and commercials with his in house production company Good Look. Josh's commercial and broadcast clients include Univision, Adult Swim, Illy, DirecTV, Heineken, HBO, and The Sundance Channel.
