Biografía
She studied Philosophy at the Sorbonne, graduating in 1978. Between 1983 and 1985 she continued her training at the IDHEC and in 1986 she made her directorial debut with the film Black and White, based on a story by Tennessee Williams (‘Desire and the Black Masseur’) and awarded the Camera d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prix in Turin. Chimère (1989), Max et Jérémie (1992) and Mylène (1992), were her next works for the cinema. She directed several television series before competing in the 45th edition of the Valladolid Festival with La Voleuse de Saint-Lubin (1999). She subsequently directed for the silver screen Les Marins perdus (2003) and Pauvre Georges! (2018).
