KOGONADA (Seoul, South Korea) is a largely anonymous filmmaker who moved to the United States as a child, and became famous for his video essays or supercuts about the work of well-known directors like Vince Gilligan and Stanley Kubrick. He is also a regular contributor to the magazine Sight & Sound. His first feature film is Columbus (2017), shot in Columbus, Indiana.
