Biografía
New Zealand-born screenwriter and director Jane Campion rose to fame with An Angel at My Table, which won the Special Jury Prize in Venice in 1990. In 1993, she became the first female director to win the Palme d’Or in Cannes for The Piano and returned to the festival as jury president in 2014. She also directed The Portrait of a Lady (1996), Holy Smoke (1999) and Bright Star (2009), and created the miniseries Top of the Lake (2013-2017) with Gerard Lee.
