Christophe Gans expressed his early passion for cinema by writing for several fanzines and magazines including the ultra-cult “Starfix,” a film lovers’ bible whose committed tone and audacious editorial line definitively influenced several generations of movie junkies. In 1994, at the instigation of producer Samuel Hadida, he moved into directing with one segment of the Lovecraftian anthology Necronomicon entitled The Drowned.
