Biografía

Jean-François Rauger, a great specialist in genre and fantastic film, is the Director of Programming at the Cinémathèque Française, contributes to the newspaper “Le Monde” and is the author of “L’Œil domestique − Alfred Hitchcock et la television” (Rouge Profond Editions) as well as a collection of essays, “L’œil qui jouit” (Yellow Now Editions). He is also one of the authors of the book “Hitchcock : La Totale” (E/P/A Editions). He has participated in numerous film festivals, having given tribute awards to Spike Lee at the Deauville Festival in 2008, to Lee Chang-dong at the Deauville Asian Festival and John Landis at the Gérardmer Festival in 2009, and to Kiyoshi Kurosawa at the Marrakech Festival and John McTiernan at the Gérardmer Festival in 2010. He served as president of the Short Film Jury for the 2012 Gérardmer Festival and was a member of the Feature Film Jury for the 2014 Beaune Festival.
