David Michan attended the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (itesm) graduating in 1997 with a degree in Communications. Following school he spent five years in Los Angeles, California, working as pa and ad for more than one hundred commercials, music Videos and movies. David then returned to Mexico City to study a second career at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. He won several awards for his short films. David won 3rd place overall for his short film A True Story: In Memory of Zach Hanks at the Radioactivo International Film Festival. He worked as a commercial director for the production company Santos Films.
