Tomáš Svoboda

Tomáš Svoboda (1972) is a playwright and theater and film director. He taught himself wood-modeling and also graduated in theater directing. He pursued many professions before becoming a director at the Nítě Theater in Cheb, which he also led artistically, as he did later on as well at the Rokoko and Municipal theaters in Kladno. In recent years he's focused mainly on creating his own theater works, of which we'll mention the plays The Roes (Srnky) and the political cabaret Blond Beast (Blonďatá bestie). He made his film debut with the feature comedy Hourly Husband (Hodinový manžel, 2014).
