Diogo Costa Amarante

Biografía

Born in Porto, Portugal in 1982, he graduated in law before making his directing debut with the short documentary Jumate/Jumate which screened at numerous international festivals and won several awards. In 2009 he participated in the Berlinale Talents. His film As Rosas Brancas (The White Roses) screened in the 2014 Berlinale Shorts programme. A Fulbright scholar, he recently completed a film degree at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York and received funding to develop his first feature script, Migrar pelas Sombras.
