Philippe Godeau

Philippe Godeau is best known as a producer with more than twenty films to his credit. He transformed his distribution firm Pan-Européenne into a production company where he produced Vitali Kanevsky’s Independent Life (Samostoyatelnaya zhizn, 1992) and two films by Jaco Van Dormael The Eighth Day (Le huitième jour, 1996) and Mr. Nobody (2009). As a director he debuted in 2009 with One for the Road (Le dernier pour la route), co-authored with Agnès de Sacy; the film was nominated for Césars for Best First Film and Best Adapted Screenplay. 11.6, co-written by the same author, is based on real events.
