Sinopsis(1)

Science and Africa—one would not put these two together at first. Yet, several African countries have developed fields such as nanochemistry, molecular biology or astrophysics, often thanks to women. The French documentary shows the work and research of three women from three different countries. Tebello Nyokong, a nanochemist professor at Rhodes University in South Africa, looks into water filtration. Zara Randriamanakoto develops astronomical research in Madagascar, and Francine Ntoumi examines infectious diseases in Congo and extends international scientific cooperation with African physicians through the Pandora project. Additionally, the film gives space to young hopefuls, who share their visions and experience as female scientists. (Academia Film Olomouc)
