Sinopsis(1)

When he returns from a lengthy stay abroad, the young poet Krister Langton discovers that his guardian, a judge named Cunning, has dispossessed him of his apartment and all his belongings. Krister's fiancé Britta Rendel helps him to seek justice. The judge's swindle, however, is legally inviolable and no legal representatives will listen to their demands for justice. Britta contacts a lawyer named Arnold, who takes on Krister's case. Langton is locked up in a mental institute, and Arnold raises an outcry about the injustice. By chance, he comes in contact with an elderly woman who has also been one of Cunning's victims. In her apartment Arnold sets a trap for Cunning. An erotic relationship develops between Britta and Arnold, which creates a moral dilemma for her. Through Cunning, Arnold has been appointed state prosecutor. During the trial Britta appears on the witness stand, in defense of the accused. During stormy deliberations Cunning and Arnold are exposed, and Krister obtains redress.
