Két lány az utcán

The film is the story of vicissitudes and rise of two country girls having an unhappy fate in the capital. The country miss having lost honour and disowned, Kártély Gyöngyi plays the violin in the ladies orchestra in a night club, the orphan peasant girl Torma Vica works on a construction site as a mortar mixer. Gyöngyi saves Vica from the vexation of Csiszár István chief engineer, she takes the girl, coming from the same village as her, mothers her, make her learn, dress, gets a new job. Vica, however, interferes with Gyöngyi's father and arranges with him to support his daughter financially. Having reached stable financial conditions, Gyöngyi finds her happiness in arts, Vica in marriage. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
