Barry Keoghan has an unmistakable 'punch him in the face' look, and if we add in the scary makeup and the affected but impressive acting, we have another distinctive Joker. I agree with the opinion of others that this scene would have stood out too much in the final film, so cutting it was a tactical move and an enticement for a (possible) sequel.
