inglés A representative of the numerous hopelessly average films that won't offend but also don't have the potential to excite. A few decent jokes, some likable actors, an obvious attempt to lightly criticize without stepping on any toes, and primarily designed to sell well. If I were to compare it as a satire to something like Wag the Dog, where that film strikes mercilessly, The Distinguished Gentleman merely pokes lightly. Objectively, the film deserves three stars, but Eddie Murphy has become so annoying to me in recent years with his chatty, stereotypical characters that my overall impression of the film is no more than 45%.
