Sinopsis(1)

The King basks in his wealth and doesn’t let anyone else touch it. That applies for nature in the form of flowers, birds or spiders. A wizard prepares a magical potion that turns everything to gold. But it also turns everyone to gold. This harsh fairy-tale warning against indifference towards nature is an excellent example of masterful puppet animation. (Anifilm)

inglés One of the treasures of Czech animated creation, the best work of director Beneš. Incredibly gloomy, balladic story about human greed, guilt and punishment. Perfect work with puppets, where one hand gesture explains more than a long dialogue. Film without words, excellently complemented by well-chosen music. A seven-minute film where not a single second is unnecessary. Attention - not suitable for small children. Overall impression 100%. ()
