Sinopsis(1)

A satirical look at the hip-hop music industry, DEATH OF A DYNASTY recalls other music business comedies like FEAR OF A BLACK HAT or THIS IS SPINAL TAP. By using real-life figures and organizations as characters and settings, the film creates a documentary-like atmosphere. Dave Katz is a white reporter who works for the hip-hop magazine The Mic, and is sent by his editor to write a story on Roc-A-Fella records, run by Damon Dash (the director of the film, and played by rapper Capone). As Katz is slowly taken into confidence by Dash, and experiences the wild world of music, booze, and ladies at the studio, he begins to believe himself an insider at the successful company. But when he begins to sell gossip about the rappers at the company to the tabloids, his career takes a turn for the worst. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
