Mythos Schneeleopard

Documented over five years, two episodes follow a narrative pursuing animal character - the dominant male - Karma and his harem of few females. Woven through the snow leopard narrative are the adventures, frustrations and eventual success of the veteran Indian wildlife filmmakers, Naresh and Rajesh Bedi and their team. For the first time, a coherent story of the lives of several snow leopards is told, with unique sequences of scent-marking, courtship, mating and a wild den with two young cubs. Also, dramatic footage of snow leopards hunting, feeding at ibex and bharal carcasses. The films have rare behavioural sequences of Himalayan Ibex, blue sheep, red fox, golden eagle, griffon vulture and snowcock, who also share these rugged mountains with snow leopards.
