Sinopsis(1)

The main idea of the film is the entry of Prince Christian Hohenlohe, the owner of the Belianske Tatras, into the life of the Slovak country at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries; the conflict between his right and wrong decisions through the prism of today. The film tells about the period when the German nobleman Christian Hohenlohe became the owner of the Belianske Tatras. To this day, he is considered a controversial figure in our history, and most Slovaks have never heard of him. Hohenlohe is one of the important personalities of our natural history, hunting and conservation history. He established the rules, most of which still apply in the Tatras today and are part of TANAP's visiting rules. He started living in Tatranská Javorina, had his castle built there, and later several more buildings, including a church and hotels. For a limited number of years, he banned the shooting of certain types of game, limited the availability of trails for tourists, and expelled loggers from the forest. The story about the prince of the Tatras sounds almost mystical: over the years, he brought new species of animals to his territory in Slovakia. In the film, he asks himself whether he was a villain or a king. (Agrofilm)
